Preliminary Filtration

The sediment filter has the capacity to retain impurities 15 times smaller than a grain of sand. That is all the particles with the diameter larger than 1 micron (dust, bacterium, viruses).

The preliminary filter maximizes the effect of water purification even from the first stage, eliminating impurities with dimensions of 1 µm (rust, sand, dust). Also, this pre filter has the role of enhancing the life span of the filters that follow in the next stages of water filtration.

Materials used

The sediment filter, made up of polypropylene materials, retains and diminishes an important number of polluting factors, as a result of filtration of the water through small pores, obtained by superimposing several layers of hard plastic. The propylene in the filter has good mechanic properties; it is resistant to several chemical agents and has high thermic resistance.
