Types of Drinking Water
Tap water. It is spring water, transported through pipes, it is treated in special station and it is distributed through the water distribution network. The applied treatment creates a high level of chlorine, in case the network is old or has not been restored, and can host several impurities.
Distilled water. It can be obtained by boiling the water until it is transformed into steam, thus separating the impurities and becoming sterilized. The steam is condensed, creating pure water. This water is especially used for pharmaceutical purposes, its use as drinkable water being avoided.
Fluoridated water. It contains fluorides added according to regulations. Some springs have a higher content of fluorides, so there are naturally fluoridated waters.
Natural mineral water. It must come from a geologically and physiologically safe underground source of water. It is different from other types of water because of the high level of minerals and olio elements.
Carbonated water. It is water with carbon dioxide.
Spring water. It comes from underground formations and springs naturally on the surface or it is extracted from springs, through great depth drilling.
